Welcome to United Talent Agency. We thank you for your interest in the game. There are a few simple rules that you must follow while you're here. There will be a three strikes rule, where if you bend the rules three times, you'll be removed.
BASIC RULE OF RP (AND PERHAPS THE BIGGEST)- Don't mix IC with OOC and vice versa. Harassment is not tolerated and drama is to be kept as minimal as possible. Pretty basic, right? Anyone found breaking this rule will immediately be removed from the game.
CELEBRITIES- Your celebrity can be a musician, an actor, a screen writer, a model, a producer, a fashion designer, an athlete, or a dancer. We do not allow faces of deceased celebrities to be used.
- Holds on your celebrities are good for 48 hours after you've asked for them. It is first come, first serve, as long as your first journal entry that is required for entry to the community is considered substantial (this will count as your example).
- We accept all faces, except for scene queens, Suicide Girls, or myspace personalities (reality show contestants, such as SYTYCD dancers, or American Idols who didn't make top 10 will be accepted on a case-by-case basis).
- The cap on how many characters that you can play, is 5. We want to make sure that you can handle the characters that you have, and we figure that 5 is a decent amount so that PB hogging/credit hogging doesn't take place.
- Don't play your significant other - pretty sad that this has to be said, but we've seen it happen in other games. We encourage as much interaction and activity as possible with your characters, on both AIM, and in journals.
STORYLINES- Be realistic with pregnancies, divorce and weddings.
- All pregnancies MUST be approved by a mod. We don't want an overrun of pregnancies. Pregnancies are to be carried out a full 9 months, unless otherwise approved by a mod.
- If you are going to attempt a drug/alcohol addiction, a rehab line or eating disorder or anything of that nature, PLEASE do your research first and keep all lines realistic. ALL major SL's of this nature are to be run by a mod first.
UPDATES & ACTIVITY- The update limit here is four weeks. Activity checks are done at the first of every month, and those who have been inactive during that time will be available for override and removed. If we do not see you active in the communities posting within a month (ALL ENTRIES in the sub-communities MUST be friends-locked, or they will be deleted), as well as posting a journal entry in your own journal, you will be removed due to inactivity.
- Journal entries must be three paragraphs minimum, and can be anything from an entry written by your character about what's happening in their lives/careers, a tabloid story written about them, or an interview with them (the tabloid stories and interviews must be created entirely by you). Be creative, yet informative!
- Please keep ALL pictures and articles written about your character, under a cut, to save your friends page.
- Hiatuses are allowed, but please ask for one in the OOC comm, along with a due-back-by date. Hiatuses will not be granted if you are hiatusing just so that you don't have to update your journal.
- If you are on AIM, don't hide behind your away message, please! This will not count towards activity.
- Challenges will be accepted if your character is considered inactive (no comments or participation on the friends page, or no AIM interaction).
REQUIRED FOR ENTRANCE TO THE COMMUNITY- In order to gain full acceptance to the community, you MUST have a first entry, an AIM name, and you must have the main comm linked up on your user info in the website space, as well as the disclaimer posted on your user info. All will be checked before acceptance is permitted.
- New members are asked to introduce themselves within 48 hours of acceptance otherwise they will be removed.
- If your application is deleted, that means that you have been rejected. If you would like to know why you've been rejected, please leave a note in the dropbox, and a mod will get back to you ASAP with the reason for your rejection.
